Our early work and relationships in this area started with companies establishing themselves in Ireland and generally introduced through the IDA. The first of these companies was with Merit Medica, an American medical device producer headquartered in Salt Lake City and with a manufacturing facility in Galway.
Merit Medica are in the business of producing inflation devices, diagnostic and therapeutic catheters. We were involved in the original construction of their plant in Galway comprising Class 10,000 production areas, change areas, administration areas and warehousing.
We were also involved in the validation of their clean rooms, HVAC systems and all production critical engineering systems. We also carried out work in Stiefel Laboratories in Sligo. Steifel Laboratories produce medicated creams.
As consulting engineers, we were involved in full MEP design, project management and validation of systems. The production facility must have validated engineering systems to meet the rigorous quality standards of the production process.
We have the necessary experience and expertise to deliver projects in this environment. We also have worked in many ‘live‘ sites in retrofit and expansion projects where complex service tie-ins had to be made with no production disruption.
