Lawler Consulting worked as Mechanical and Electrical Design Engineers on this first Government Publicly Procured Project (PPP) with Balfour Beatty and JJ Rhatigan & Co. This project is part of a 14-centre bundle and was the first PPP to be delivered using Building Information Modelling (BIM) Level 2.
Primary Care Centres
We designed the exemplar design for the Dungarvan site upon which all the other centres were based. Through our knowledge of HTM and HBN codes, we were able to deliver award-winning designs and excellent patient experiences. Thermal modelling was incorporated at the design stage utilizing REVIT. The buildings are naturally ventilated and designed to BIM Level 2 standards with an energy rating of A3 BER. Design of key services including medical gases and modula lighting controls in addition to new PV array on some of the buildings.

Wexford
Waterford
Carrick-On-Suir.
Each centre consists predominantly of community-based services including GP’s, Dental Surgery, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Services, Home Help, Counselling and Nutrition.
The Waterford Primary Care Centre project which involved the construction of a part 2 storey and part 3 storey healthcare facility (4700m2) situated on the grounds of the existing hospital won gold at the 2019 Irish Construction Excellence Awards in the Education or Healthcare Building Category.
