Croke Park

In order to check the quality of the mechanical and electrical systems within Croke Park, the GAA requested Lawler Consulting to compile an extensive Engineering Report on all systems and services within the 82,000 seater stadium and it’s Headquarters.

Due to the life expectancy of some systems, recommendations were made to ensure the health and welfare of the public. It was recommended that the client replace passenger lifts in one of the Stands due to wear and tear.

Also recommended was the replacement of the large generator with a standby generator which is expected to last between 20 and 30 years depending on usage. Our engineers also advised as a cost saving measure that a Building Management System (BMS) be installed in the building and all lighting, heating etc. be controlled via this. This will ensure building services are being effectively utilised.
