Teagasc Office

Teagasc, the Agriculture, and Food Development Authority is the national body providing integrated research, advisory, and training services to the agriculture and food industry and rural communities.

Their new building in Moorepark, Co. Cork required full mechanical works including a heating and AC refurbishment and a centralised freezer/ cryogenic storage facility. The ventilation and AC system in the laboratories were also upgraded.

Up to this time, chilled beams, low-velocity ventilation schemes, and air movement had been causing test sample contamination problems. Mixed-mode ventilation for the cryogenic/ freezer storage was then introduced to reduce risk to valuable research samples.

Lawler Consulting has carried out works in Teagasc offices in Carlow, Waterford, Mullinavat, Wexford, Athenry and Clonskeagh.
